Quick Facts:The PAM01086 is the successor to the PAM01000 and the simplest watch Panerai makes. Time only. No date, no small seconds, no rotating bezel. What is left is everything the brand is known for: the 44mm cushion-shaped case, the integrated lugs, and the crown-protecting bridge with its locking lever. A piece of functional engineering Panerai developed in the 1950s and has never needed to change since.

Inside is the hand-wound Panerai Calibre P.6000, an in-house movement running at around 72 hours of power reserve. Three days on a full wind means you can set it down on Friday and it will still be running on Monday, which is more than most manual-wind watches this size will tell you.

Production of the reference began in 2020 and ran through 2023, with this example dated by its warranty card to November 8, 2023. The dial carries the OP logo at 6 o'clock, the "Luminor Panerai" signature, and the classic black layout with lume-filled Arabic numerals.

At 44mm it is a big, confident watch, and it wears that way on purpose. Rated to 100m, it is built for daily life (desk, pool, weekend) rather than professional diving, and buyers should treat it as exactly that. The quick-release strap system means swapping between the brown leather and black rubber straps takes seconds and no tools. A clean, no-fuss entry into the Luminor line, with a current warranty card and both factory straps included.
